it is an audio-book, that counts, right? I’m an addictive type, so if I start a book, there is no putting it down until I’ve read it all! SO, with an audio-book, I can still do laundry, floors and cook while I listen to my book!

Jackson’s team made it through the playoffs! We are the only undefeated team, with another town nipping at our heels. We are the only team to have not only even scored against them, but to have actually beat them. That is the team we will play on Saturday in the SUPER BOWL!
I’m so excited for the boys! And yes, I did have my toes done for the occasion!

It’s been a little busy around the Reynolds’ house!
Kiel is in the charter school and it seems to be running smoothly. He’s even on the flag football team. (it’s a small school, they can’t afford equipment for tackle) We got him in to see a neurologist and found out that his thalamus never developed. It’s not even there! Which explains so many un-answered questions! Which also leaves us with more un-answered questions!!!
Jackson is in football also. His team is tackle and we are UNDEFEATED! We had our last game of the regular season today. Since we are undefeated, we get a bye on the first round of the play-offs!! Which isn’t as cool as it sounds, because that just means the other teams will get to keep on playing. I do anticipate that our boys will practice more!
Eric is Eric and being the best Eric that he knows how to be! He keeps us in stitches!!!
I took a morning job at a local gym watching kids 9-12 M-F a few weeks ago and then got asked to be a sub at Jackson’s school, so I’ll start that this Wednesday! A friend of mine will watch Eric on the days that I sub! I didn’t really want to leave Eric this year. He starts kindergarten next year and I wanted to spend his last year of pre-school together! I still haven’t decided what/how he’ll experience kindergarten. Charter, Public or Home!! I guess that’s one of the privaliges of living in TEXAS, I can change my mind when needed!
So that’s a little of what’s been going on around here.

We’re still here and very busy. I tend to shut down during stressful times. We took Kiel to the orthopedic dr 2 weeks ago for his kyphosis. His curvature isn’t too bad yet, but we’ll be doing X-Rays twice a year to keep an eye on it. We went today to the neurologist and didn’t get to the true heart of anything other than to finally get the ball rolling on finding out what makes Kiel tick, and tick, and tick. She mentioned some medication, but we chose to wait on that until we talk with a clinical phycologist. Anyone have any reccomendations on one of those? We were just given a list of some in the area, and that’s not the best way to find a doctor in my opinion!
Jackson’s got football practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays 6-8. Kiel just decided that he’d like to play football also, and his practices are Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays 5:45-8. I don’t anticipate breathing anytime soon! Did I mention that I’ve also got a float to decorate for Jackson’s team? It has to be ready for the 4th!

The post below has really gotten me thinking about The Sheep and The Goats, so I thought I’d go ahead and put the whole passage up here.

That is the attitude we had with the start of the school year with Kiel. Except for the fact that I wouldn’t allow myself to even think about the worst. This kid’s been thru too much already!
We should have planned better for the worst. Brian and I found out Tuesday that a few kids have been taking Kiel’s lunch. We found this out when he had to tell us why he came home from school with only one bi-liner. Thankfully we have a great principal and Kiel will not have to worry about being bullied by this boy again. Unfortunately, it looks like we’re going to have to be the ones to pay for the replacement mouthpiece.
I pray that today goes better for Kiel.
